I dont remember when I found Becha’s work, but I know that she has been my favourite for a long time now.
What I love the most about her work is that she is always changing, still making it all so beautiful. When I give the digital collage workshops I show her work and tell them how amazing it is, that she can mix elements from different media, super sharp hi-fi photos with vintage illustrations, self made drawings, textures and still make something balanced out of it.
I guess that she is my favourite also because there is a little story behind.
She once made a giveaway in Facebook, to be exact in in 2013! and I was fortunate to win! by that time I lived in Buenos Aires and had just finished my graphic design masters. Somehow she had some trouble shipping the print I won to Argentina. So I offered her that instead of shipping it, to exchange that for her answering a couple of questions. And she was so nice to not only answer but also give me a lot of advise and links for me to dive in. She told me that when she started she also had a favourite artist and that He was very nice to her, so she did the same to those who came to her with questions.
I will always be thankful for that. That’s why in every workshop I give I show her work and tell everyone this story. Therefore I try to be nice with those who ask, she did more for me than she knows. Well maybe now she does, because I might send her this link.
Somehow that interaction, pushed me to pursue an illustration path.
